TIDKIN SIMMENTALS

Stock Bulls Owned and Used at Tidkin
Probably the most influential Simmental breeding bull of the 90’s was Brinkton Sovreign. He was Perth Champion in 1988, sired by Lodge Major and out of the famous Stuartslaw Melody. Originally purchased by the Twyford Herd, he arrived at Tidkin in 1992.
Nethan Landsman, a Camus Frontier son sired calves from 2002-
Sterling Royston was purchased at Perth in 2006. Sired by Sterling Flint out of a milky Sterling cow with an EBV of 27. A number of sons have been sold as breeding bulls and daughters are retained in the herd.
Tidkin Teleology was sired by Kilbride Farm Raphoe (a Newry son). After a season working on commercial heifers, all who calved easily, he was used as the 2009 stock bull at Tidkin. His crop of calves for 2010 proved to be very easy calved and are growing well.
