Past Stock Bulls

Nethan Landsman, a Camus Frontier son sired calves from 2002-06. His calves are easy born and are up and suckling in minutes. His finished bulls are all grading exceptionally well and achieving high liveweight gains.

Dirnanean Tempest was a first prize winner at Perth in 1989. A son of the Canadian bull AWL PL Superstar 3T,  was purchased primarily to work on our 190 Simmental x suckler cows, with the aim of producing high quality polled continental suckler stores.

Probably the most influential Simmental breeding bull of the last decade was Brinkton Sovreign. He was Perth Champion in 1988, sired by Lodge Major and out of the famous Stuartslaw Melody. Originally purchased by the Twyford Herd, he arrived at Tidkin in 1992.

From 1995 onwards we used a home bred stock bull, Tidkin Eagle (Pictured above “in working clothes”).Eagle was the most outstanding of five embryo transplant bull calves, flushed from our favourite cow - Tidkin Wondrous, sired by Sterling Herkules. Eagle’s ET brother - Erol, was sent to the Kirkly Hall Bull Test in 1994/95, winning the “Best Performance Bull” crystal rose bowl.
